Objective: To develop the skills, knowledge
and attitudes required to be an effective leader, through a process
of learning and continuous development.
The Leading Through Learning - Management
Development Programme has been developed to help managers develop
the leadership skills they need now and in the future. Leadership
plays a vital role in the management of Human Resources. If you
believe that work should offer opportunities for learning and growth
and that Leadership is the pivotal element in achieving this environment,
then this is the programme for you. The programme is committed to
the principles of continuous learning for the individual and the
organisation.
The Leading Through Learning - Development
Programme consists of three blocks of two days, with residential
accommodation included, and a one-day follow up. Each module is
residential, thus maximising the time available for working -by
using the evenings for group sessions and guest speakers. The modular
approach minimises the time delegates are away from work, and from
home. Between modules there is an opportunity for delegates to try
out what they are learning.
For 2002 we will be using the 'outdoors'
as a setting for more of the activities
Tutor Team
The programmes will ideally run with 15 delegates and three tutors.
The tutors for this workshop complement each other really well.
We are known as the "KLM Partnership".
We are:
John Kempton
An experienced facilitator, tutor, published author on HRM and HRD
and a University Lecturer on Learning
"M"
An experienced 'outdoor' specialist who has led projects for a charity
in Africa, is an excellent surfer and a brilliant role model for
all women
"L"
A fantastic thinker and facilitator who, by asking the right questions
is able to get delegates to consider their own position.
Who should Attend?
Anyone starting (or about to start) on a management career. Managers
who are recently appointed or those with little or no formal management
training will find the programme particularly useful. The programme
incorporates management theory and skills practice, in a supportive,
friendly and fun atmosphere. Programmes can be run in-house or as
mixed groups.
The programme has been designed to provide
an excellent delegate to tutor ratio of only five to one. This will
maximise the learning available in the syndicate groups.
