John
Kempton
John Kempton has a BA (Hons) Degree in Organisation
Behaviour and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel
and Development.
He started work as a Personnel Officer (1986), in industries as
diverse as Catering (Motorway Service Areas) and Telecommunications
Development (working for a joint venture between Philips and AT&T).
He realised that his skills were in communication, coaching and
teaching, and therefore moved into the Training and Development
side of HR management. He joined Lloyds Bowmaker, a Financial Services
company and then became the first HRD manager for a leading City
Investment House.
Since
1992 he has been successfully running his own consultancy and specialising
as a Trainer. As a trainer he has been a Visiting Tutor at the Civil
Service College (since 1993)- on various HR and management courses.
John has also been an Associate Lecturer at The University of Surrey
(since 1992) writing and lecturing on Masters level programmes and
also running short courses for various overseas projects.
